Mowcop, Staffs - Jon Beech Recovery

Posted: Jul 21, 2016

Friday morning (1 July 2016) up in Mowcop Staffs

A three axle fully loaded 26 tonne Mercedes was attempting to reverse down a narrow track to access a self build property, when the road gave way swallowing the entire off side of the truck leaving a “brand new” fence to hold the truck upright!

Needless to say the adjacent neighbours new fence is now history, the truck was recovered/winched by Chunky Bedford/AWD 6x4 without the Mercedes suffering any further damage.

Being the very diligent and helpful recovery folk that we are? we unloaded the casualty truck at the roadside and delivered the twelve one tonne builder bags one at a time down the narrow track with a telehandler.

When we had dropped the last bag off, the well pleased recipient of the load walked across took one look at the twelve bags and said............that's not what I ordered !!!..........that's when we beat a hasty retreat! (now someone else's problem)
