NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
The Annual General Meeting will be held at The Earl Shilton Social Institute, 12 Station Road, Earl Shilton, Leicestershire LE9 7GAContact Tel: 07501 820341 on Tuesday 14 September 2010 commencing at 1.00 p.m.
This will be followed immediately by General Meeting.
NATIONAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS
This year the Council Members who are to stand down will (as per the Memonarts) be selected by the National Council at a Council meeting prior to the AGM. These Council Members who are selected to stand down may apply to be re-elected.
The Articles of the Association permit the Association to be run with between 5 and 10 Council members. At present we have a compliment of 6, which includes the Chairman and President.
If anyone if interested in putting their name forward as a National Council Member and have something to offer the Association, then they should inform the Association office in writing, including their name and address, and position held and must have been a fully paid up member for not less than three years. (Special resolution passed on 13th January 1998). They must also supply the name and address of a proposer who must also be a member of the Association.
